Sunday

We all woke up around 8 and the snow was almost gone...so was our snowman. :(

Lindsey and Mommy went to church and then to the park. It was pretty wet walking around, but Lindsey didn't care. I couldn't even get her dress off before she wanted to play outside, so I threw on a pair of jeans over her tights and off we went. :)

After Lindsey's nap, she and daddy played with blocks and then made the project from Lowe's, which was a rain gauge in the shape of a flower. Lindsey and daddy then painted the flower with all the paints Lindsey got from her birthday.

Miss Mackenzie had a good day - didn't sleep very much, but she's sleeping right now in her crib...by herself. We have our fingers crossed!!!

Daddy is playing video games and mommy is playing on the computer.

Hopefully we will all have a good night so we can start off the week on a good note.

Night Night.

Snowstorm

Wow! Oklahoma weather can be very strange! It's been beautiful all week and this morning it started pouring down snow. Papaw Crowder called about 9:30am to say that he and nana were headed our way to visit today. By the time they got here, it was a winter wonderland. Mac was sleeping in her swing ('cause she's teething and wouldn't sleep anywhere else) and Lindsey was up and about - ready to go out into the snow. We all bundled up and went outside. We built a great big snowman and Papaw Crowder decorated the snowman with spare parts that were lying around in his van. This was the first time for Lindsey to build a snowman. Nana and Papaw stayed for a few hours and gave you girls lots of hugs and kisses.

Tonight we had chicken chili with white beans for dinner. It was really yummy, but Mac is crying and crying and we don't know what's wrong. Mommy is starting to think that the beans did not sit well with Mac. Hopefully she'll fall asleep soon since we've just given her something for her tummy.

Colorado

Mackenzie 3 months old

Mackenzie and Mommy heading to Denver to visit "Aunt" Heather and Riley.

besties and babies

Getting up to speed

Today, Mackenzie, you are 3 1/2 months old. You're already rolling over and grabbing your toes. You also love to coo and gurgle at mommy and daddy and family members/friends. You are quite the little cuddlebug and would rather sleep with someone than sleep alone in your crib...but you've got to learn how to sleep on your own. Mommy thinks you may be teething since you've taken to stuffing your fist in your mouth and you're slobbering all over the place. :) You do not want to take a pacifier though, so I guess your hand/fist/fingers will have to do. You and mommy attend a baby playgroup on Tuesday mornings (Sweet Peas) while Lindsey is at parent's day out.

Today, Lindsey, you are 25 months old. 2 years and 1 month. A few days ago, daddy converted your crib into a toddler bed. You had climbed and fallen out of your crib twice, so mommy thought it was time for you to get a big girl bed...I didn't want you to get hurt. You've transitioned nicely. You've missed a couple naps this week, but overall, you usually take a good 2-hour nap in the afternoon, which is nice. :) You love playing in your kitchen and bouncing in your jumpolene. You like doing your alphabet puzzle and can say the entire alphabet plus spell words that are in capital letters. You go girl!!! You're so smart!

Nana Fulton was here this week. She comes over quite a bit to visit you girls and to help out mommy. She loves doing laundry and cleaning up the house, which is a big help for mommy. Nana brought you girls some clothes and pjs - oh and some egg cling-ons (stickers) for the windows - since it's almost Easter. Lindsey is not a big milk drinker, but she watches Nana drink milk and then wants some.

About a week ago, mommy brought home groceries and Lindsey, you wanted to help put away the groceries. You usually put a lot of things away in the pantry. However, you got a hold of a glass jar of grape jelly. You accidentally dropped it on the floor and glass and jelly went EVERYWHERE!!! Daddy held you while mommy cleaned up the floor. Then mommy held you and daddy went over the floor a second time to pick up all the pieces mommy missed. For some reason, you have been talking about how the jelly fell on the floor for almost a week now! You weren't upset and we didn't yell at you when the jelly broke, but you remember the event and keep pointing to the floor and saying how the jelly fell on the floor. I wonder how much longer you'll talk about it. :)

We have had spring-like weather this week, but now it's cold again. :( Bummer! We love going to the park in our neighborhood. We got a double stroller a couple weeks ago, so both Lindsey and Mack can ride. We usually take bread to feed the ducks and stop at the playground to swing and slide. Lindsey likes to lean back with her head upside down or swing on her tummy. You'll be doing that too one day Mackenzie. :)

First Blog

For Lindsey and Mackenzie ~

Hi girls! You two are my scooterbugs and I love you so much. Mommy wanted a place where she could jot down everyday memories (what you're doing, what you're saying, funny things that happen, etc.)

This is Mommy's favorite quote: "..if you took every memory, every moment, if you stretched them end to end - they'd reach forever." Jodi Picoult

That's exactly how we feel about you girls. Mommy and Daddy have so many memories already of you two that would reach forever. We enjoy every moment and get such a kick out of all the things you two do...we love you everyday and forever.
