Lindsey was in good spirits this morning so I suggested she try to wear panties today. She put them on without too much protesting. :) She ended up going pp on the potty 4 times throughout the day!!! Whew...this has been a long time coming. Lindsey was so excited each time she went, and I could tell she was really proud of herself...so were we!!! Sigh...I hope this continues...and maybe Mackenzie will catch on, and then the girls will both be potty trained when baby #3 is born. I can DREAM, ok? :)
So Lindsey had a good day. On the other hand, Miss Mackenzie has pink eye - in both eyes!!! She's had a little cold for a few days - no fever - but this morning her eyes were all goopy and I knew. She was pretty miserable all day until we got the eye drops, but with the drops and a little bit of Tylenol she perked right up and wanted to play even though we could tell she didn't feel the best. She's our little trooper. The doc said today that her ears looked great - the tubes are doing their thing - I was worried she'd have to take another antibiotic.
Jeff's parents are coming to town tomorrow with Eliegh, and they are going to watch the girls while Jeff and I go out and do something - what that is, I don't know. :) Just being out of the house - together - alone - will be enough.
So I've been griping about Oklahoma weather and how it's windy...blah blah blah...well, today started off yucky, but this afternoon was absolutely beautiful. Thank you Mother Nature!

Hot Dog!
A few weeks ago, Mackenzie and I were at the grocery store and she was teething. I picked up a pack of hot dogs - gave them to her to HOLD - not to chew. But apparently, hot dogs in a package feel really good on teeth! She gummed on them through the whole store and would not let them go!!! I let her have the hot dogs - still packaged - in the car on the way home, which is less than 5 minutes. In that little time, she managed to break the plastic wrap on the package and was chewing up the hot dogs and subsequently spitting them out all over her car seat. So, for my little girl - hot dogs are only for teething, not for eating. :)

Clothes at Sam's?
My mom and I were in Sam's the other day, not looking for clothes! But, we found some really cute outfits for around 10 bucks and under! I got the middle dress in Lindsey's and Mackenzie's size. Can't wait for summer!

Snow Fun
New Year's
Mackenzie was having fun looking through her legs that night. If she could talk, I think she would have said - 'hey riley, look what i can do.'
My bestie, Heather, and her family were here for New Year's. Her son Riley is only 2 weeks older than Mackenzie. They also brought their 2 Maltese dogs which Lindsey absolutely loved.

Back to Bloggin'
I'm back! This is my actual first blog for the year 2010!
With the holidays and a couple birthdays, I've not had any time to sit down and blah blah...or rather, blog blog. :) It's the beginning of February, and I just now feel recovered from the holidays. Here are a few holiday pictures.
Getting up to speed...
Mackenzie got tubes put in her little ears a few days before Christmas. She was such a trooper. However, she currently has another ear infection!!! That's 8 since birth. I hate that she's been on so much medication - I'm going to take her to the chiropractor very, very soon. Mackenzie can make lots of animal noises and point to what we ask her to. Her words are still pretty much "dada", "mama", and "uh-oh." She's still the messiest eater on the planet! :) The booster chair frequently gets hosed. She loves to dance and play with her big sister.
Lindsey was in great spirits throughout the holidays and the whole month of January pretty much. It was so enjoyable..she was sharing with sissy, and lovey dovey with me and the rest of our family, and just pleasant. Lindsey's behavior is still pretty good, but she's had some tantrumy moments. I'm making a conscious effort to be calm and patient instead of raising my voice - who am i kidding - i'm trying not to YELL!!! Lindsey still likes to dance, jump & tumble, sing songs, do puzzles, play with trains, and now she's FINALLY watching more TV shows other than Sesame Street! Forever we only watched the Elmo's World segment, then she got to where she liked the rest of the show, and now she really likes Clifford and Curious George. :) Lindsey has also memorized lots of her books (Cat in the Hat especially), and she won't let Jeff or I skip a page or even a sentence!!!
I slurped last year's blog into a book for the grandmas for Christmas. They loved it!!! I'm going to try to keep up with the blog so I can make another book for next Christmas.

Here's Kenzie playing with trains at the Crowder's.
